 We had 21 Subvets from the Carolina Piedmont, Nat Greene, and Tarheel Bases participating in this year’s parade. It was very hot at the Iredell County Fairground, which was again the staging area for the parade. The (2) canopies that Jim Myers now has with the torpedo float was a big help in trying to stay cool. The (2) fire department ladder trucks had the American Flag over the parade route at its beginning. Big crowd turnout along the parade route even in with the high temperature.
